Hey everyone! I’m very excited to announce that I am now endorsed by my favorite string company: Pirastro!  I’ve tried a LOT of different strings on my violins over the past few years, and I can honestly say that the Evah Pirazzi Gold strings are a perfect match for my instruments in terms of my preferred sound and feel.  I’ve been using this particular brand of strings for about a year on my instruments and now I can’t imagine using anything else! When people ask me what strings I use or what strings I recommend, it’s always hard to give advice since it’s such a personal choice and it should be based on your own instrument and personal preferences first and foremost.  I personally find the Golds to have a very warm tone, great projection for solo situations and at least in my opinion they feel really great under my fingers since the tension is not too high or too low.  I definitely should have changed my last set sooner than I did (oops hehe) but I got a solid 5 months of constant use out of them before I felt like I really needed to change (generally it’s best practice to change your strings out every 3 months if you’re playing on a very regular basis, but if you feel that the strings you’re using still have life in them after 3 months then I always think it’s ok to push them to the limit!).  If you’re in the market for a new set of strings and you have the budget for it, I can highly recommend giving the Evah Pirazzi Gold set a try!
